So... what's new? what's wild?
Coffeehouse is going to TWICE A MONTH for the summer! We're REALLY excited about that. If you haven't been yet, make sure you make reservations for one of the upcoming nights... the talent is great, it's a lot of fun, and you'll meet some new people because it's a pretty intimate setting.
Ok, enough is enough... we're not changing our hours. We're sticking
with what we've got... so:
Tuesday Thru Saturday, 8am - 6pm
Harbour Kiosk Now OPEN
We're very happy to announce that we've opened up a kiosk on the Gibsons Harbour! Right at the top of the gangplank leading down to the boat floats. There's a gorgeous view of the mountains to enjoy with our luscious Milano coffee, and other treats.
Menu has been finalized - at least for now. And, despite our intial intentions to serve similar food to what we serve here at the bistro, the masses have spoken and we've listened... You seem to want hot dogs and ice cream when walking the harbour.
So, ALL BEEF hot dogs in two sizes, our fabulous all-natural gluten-free chorizo, Yves Veggie Dogs, and bavarian smokies... on your choice of a fresh made roll (herb, garlic & cheese) or warm pita bread. Plus - Chicken souvlaki and shrimp souvlaki, served in warm pita with spinach, tomato & onions. Then a table full of condiments you can dig into to your heart's content.
And ice cream, by the cone... currently just the basics, but we're expecting the Breyer's truck any day now.
We're HIRING for the kiosk. We'll need more staff for the summer, so if you have Foodsafe™ Certification, experience handling cash, can work FAST and LOVE working with the public (particularly with tourists) then bring us a resume (or email it to eat@wildbistro.com). Preference will be given to mature applicants with customer service experience.
WHEAT & GLUTEN FREE TREATS! yay!
We get a lot of requests from customers - new and old - for wheat free and gluten free items. As more and more people are identifying sensitivities to different ingredients, it's getting harder and harder to go out to eat! STOP SUFFERING! Come to us!
We have a regular selection of gluten-free treats that are very popular (even with the folks who CAN eat gluten, so you KNOW they're yummy). Dream Cake, Toffee Ganache Bars, Lemon Bars, Fruity Goodness, Ganache Cups and muffins! (Yes, we now offer a gluten-free muffin that is really edible!)
You can order any of our sandwiches grilled in a brown rice tortilla or on a bed of spinach! (ok, so it's not really a sandwich by that point... but you get the idea) or try one of our other great salads. (ya ya, it's salad, you're tired of salad... but you might change your mind with our scrumptious signature spinach salad(#12), or the "un-salad" that is Sweet Chili Cashew Chicken). We regularly offer a variety of fritatta tarts (pastry-less quiche) too. And don't forget about the Chocolate Oblivion Truffle cake! The perfect birthday cake for the celiac you love.
Our NEWEST available product - gluten-sugar-dairy-free carrot cake! It's ACTUALLY edible! Only available by special order.
NOTE: because there is a lot of wheat floating around in the air here, we CANNOT GUARANTEE these products are suitable for those with life-threatening sensitivities & intolerances. They are simply made without wheat products intentionally in them.
Our next challenge will be gluten-free BREAD, and sugar-free items for our diabetic customers. Watch the case for announcements (yes, that means you have to come INTO the bakery!)
