Big Groove Radio - Each week Brad Mennie brings you an All-Canadian mix of blues, roots and acoustic grooves from his studio (re: shack) in Roberts Creek on the beautiful Sunshine Coast of British Columbia. He features lots of locals, many of whom have played on our stage. Listen online at www.civu.net

Brad is always looking for local and regional sounds to promote and mix in with some of the finest independent labels around. Contact The Big Groove Guy at biggrooveguy@me.com to get your sounds into the mix. Or you can just nominate any grooves that you think would fit in.reverbnationQuantcast

Please note - in order to keep menu prices affordable all the time, there is generally a cover charge for music. 100% of the cover charge pays the musicians & technician. Without the cover charge, menu prices would have to go up in order for us to pay musicians to entertain you. That's how it works.

Some nights are simply "pay what you can" and other nights have a set charge & a tip jar for the musicians. Remember, this is how the musicians make their living, and they've spent years learning how to do it. They are here for your enjoyment, and we hope that you'll happily show them your appreciation.

Thu Aug 12 - An Intimate Evening with Alfie Zappacosta - Alfie Zappacosta has sought to define his abundant talent as a lyricist and musician across genres as diverse as rock, adult contemporary and smooth jazz … but it is the release of his new CD "Blame It On Me" that finally nails his genius for cinematic, moody, sincere songs of life. This is serious stuff cut away from commercial restraints and the hit single "I’m Here For You" offers beautifully orchestrated backdrops, allowing Alfie’s magnificent guitar work to shine.  This wonderful CD reminds us that love induces thoughts of a devoted relationship from infatuation, the ups and downs and the hanging on as love is the ultimate desire of life.  When the blame is clearly laid on the lap of one partner it is the love that evokes the connection in life and makes the relationships worthwhile. Alfie is a master wordsmith – so young at heart and an old soul wise beyond his years – his songs clearly grant deep connections with others and with the universe. $20 Advance, $25 at the door. advance tickets available online here
